Re: Lets see your 660's or 620's

Holy...!! Dan, wow. Simply gorgeous!

I still can't get into the yellowed binding/inlays on AFG models but I really like how the yellowing affects the brownness of the fingerboard. That particular fireglo is just OUTSTANDING.

PW, maybe you need a new wallet? Try one that's vegetarian.

Re: Lets see your 660's or 620's

Aitch et al., thanks for your comments. It really is a special 620 ain't it? 8) Nice to see you still 'round these parts PW! How's all with you? Keeping busy I'm sure. Hey, I still haven't bought a new acoustic. Aitch - wow, nice going! I think that gig was a test of the mettle of your band. What di...

Re: Lets see your 660's or 620's

Aitch!! How's it all going mate? Howard and I go way back - I still remember when you scored your first 660, and now your Rickollection (Rickencollection?) is probably huger and larger than I can even imagine. And we both have a cat called Ernie. Ok, ok. If i must acquiesce to your prodding, you're ...

Re: Lets see your 660's or 620's

Well it's been an eon or two since I've posted here. Occasionally I lurk. Lots of good folks, but some posts that were made in VERY POOR TASTE were enough to make me leave. Frankly, once people started talking about admiring Hitler and using pictures of mock Nazis as their avatars, I sorta got put o...

Aha, here it is. This is from the January 10, 1969 "session" at Twickenham. This effectively ended the sessions (and The Beatles!!). George's footsteps can be heard as he is presumably followed on his way out of the studio by a mic-bearer. Of course, George returned the following week with...

Here's an outtake from shooting at Twickenham. A small piece of this ended up in the Let It Be film. It's 15 megs due 192kbps encoding (done to minimize warble and distortion in the sound). Check it out I'll post the outtake of George leaving the band later today. PLEASE NOTE: Some of these outtakes...

Gary, that point may be moot because RIC tend to produce instruments in batches (especially the lower production number models), so even if you wanted one today you'd probably have to wait until the next run.

Someone quickly hammered the "stop" button on the tape machine when George walked out. Kent I don't recall hearing John say that when George leaves, but maybe he did sometime after George's initial departure. "I'm leaving the band...," George states matter-of-factly. John quickly...

Thirty Days is out of print and has been for several years. The uh..ahem "company" that manufactured the set got popped and were shut down. I have the set and while it contains a lot of the less ****** stuff, it certainly doesn't have all of the Get Back recordings. Still, it was worth my ...
