Re: Ric Bass Tones on Record: Most Aggressive
Al Cisneros' tone with Sleep especially on The Druid is pretty damn aggressive.

Re: thinking of buying a new amp, input welcome!
So I ended up buying the thunderverb 200, couldn't be happier :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D . It sounds AMAZING. It's so warm and distorts so well and the tone I can go on describing for days on end. I was going to get some of those folded 15's that Orange made in the 70's for it but I didn't realiz...

thinking of buying a new amp, input welcome!
I´m looking for an English made all tube head that you can use for either guitar or bass(nastier distortion :D ). I´m thinking either a Marshall super bass or one of those new Orange thunderverbs 50 or 200 watts, I´m thinking 50. Has any one had experience with any of these amps and like to chip in ...

The guy who is selling that bass lives by me. He's like a vintage guitar dealer, good people. That bass is a beauty btw.

Re: I think it's time for me to move on...
I would not do business with them. Many, many here would agree with me on that. And then there is the rat who reads our CME comments and tells the owner. You know who you are! I would keep the Rick FL since they're now discontinued. Sell the non-Rick FL and get a cheap fretted non-Rick. Just my $0....

Re: I think it's time for me to move on...
Mine is a June 1976 white with black trim. I'm going to the Chicago Music Exchange at the end of the week. I was talking to one of the people that work they have about 12 ricks there so I'll hopefully find one that I like there. If not I'll just keep my '76 and buy a cheaper fretted bass.

Re: I think it's time for me to move on...
Jeez I go to work for a couple of hours and I come home to a lot of responses! First of all I own another fretless bass so not all is lost if I plan to trade my 4001FL. I would like to buy another Rickenbacker instead of trading the only one that I own but I'm a poor college student and money is on ...

I think it's time for me to move on...
I've been thinking for the last couple of weeks whether or not to trade in my 4001FL for a fretted 4000, 4001, or a 4003. The fretless was a good idea for a while when I was playing in a jazz band and playing more mellow stuff. But now I'm in a 3 piece and a 5 piece metal band. When I was in the jaz...

Theres a white and Black 4001 form September 1988 but I was born in Jan. Oh well. Anyways I can barely afford books for school yet another rick, even though I would love another white and black one
Maybe when I graduate.

I'm listing to lucky 7 right now and the bass is missing the "clank" that we all love. I do recall seeing a tele bass in the booklet of Fragile.

Re: Geezer Butler/Black Sabbath & Rickenbacker bass
Yea I saw the snowblind video and Geezer was playing a rick. I think the footage is from the same tour cause Ozzy is wearing that same ridiculous white jumpsuit.
