That's what I'm thinking. The CEO would never admit to oversprays being done, but if a FG finish isn't quite right, are you going to spend time rubbing it back, or just overspray?
Thanks for all input so far.

Red undercoat/sealer? 1990 330 Jetglo
Hi Folks, I've recently bought a well loved Jetglo 330, with plenty of mojo. There are a few worn spots in the finish with some red colour showing through the black. I'm just wondering if any body knows is a red sealer or undercoat was part of the production process, or is this guitar a possible ref...

Re: Wanted to Buy - 70's SVT
It was a local company. These companies usually work with businesses that import/export goods, they ship the package for you but you have to pay all surcharges and of course - pay their customs clerk for releasing the package for you. A big international brand would be "flying cargo" Some...

Re: Wanted to Buy - 70's SVT
Thanks for your replies guys. I imported one a few years back, and basically shopped around and got the best price-not exactly cheap, but within budget. Gil, do you remember what company you got that quote from?
I saw the Geddy SVT Jeff, very nice indeed, and great pedigree.

Wanted to Buy - 70's SVT
Hey folks, I know it's a bit off topic, but I'm just wondering if anybody might be selling, or knows someone who might be selling a 70's Ampeg SVT head. I had one a few years ago, and I've been kicking myself since I sold it!! They're pretty rare over here, and the ones that are already here don't o...

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
Hey folks, here's a pic from a couple of Mondays ago. We scored a spot at the Melbourne Big Day Out, which meant a free ticket to see Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, and the triumphant return of Australian band Died Pretty. We hired the horn section from Melbourne band Dynamo to play for a few tunes,...

Re: Model of the week
Our sound guy has a 70's 4000, converted to 4001 pickup and switch config. I've been pestering him to sell it to me for ages, with the view of restoring it back. I'll try and get some pics next time I see it.

Re: Best Amp for Ric bass?
Does anyone use Fender Bassman 100 ('72)? I have an opportunity to buy one for only 500 eur with original 4x12'' box. I think it will be nice tandem with my 4001 V63. I have a 70's Bassman 100 with 4x12, and a V63. The amp has a great tone and is great to record with. The baffles in the 4x12 boxes ...
