Hey folks, here's a pic from a couple of Mondays ago. We scored a spot at the Melbourne Big Day Out, which meant a free ticket to see Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, and the triumphant return of Australian band Died Pretty. We hired the horn section from Melbourne band Dynamo to play for a few tunes, got drunk and had a blast. Here's Me, my V63 and horns.

My wife and daughter just stood here in awe watching it. Nice job! The strings really made this song.

4001S w/Sadowsky flatwounds -> Yellow Submarine Bass Preamp -> Vox T25 bass combo, it's a small amp but has always worked well for radio appearances.
Audio is just 2 room mics, the balance is not too band considering.

Tight! But then it would be for a five piece band and a string quartet! Very nice!

An awesome bass doesn't automatically make the bassplayer look awesome :? :D (free-gig of my post-rock-band in the rehearsal-room)

I beg to differ!

Nice shot! I like the wide-angle and B&W. It must have taken a high ASA to get that kind of clarity with the subdued lighting, I'm guessing.

Oddly, it looks like the featured subject is the guy standing in the doorway.

Thanks for the kind words!

The guy standing in the doorway was our "warm-up"-act  . The picture was taken by a friend-photographer who also does car-reportages for Saab-Europe, Belgian Television,... So I think he knows what he was doing that evening ;)
