Politics is everything it seems, these days, but my point was not to get political propaganda started, but to protest in a little, probably insignificant way, the anti-american sentiment from around the world. My country, the USA, are not the bad guys. And besides I love my Rickenbackers and they ha...

One more thing, and I am done....Question: Does not Warwick import Rickenbackers into Germany over there???????? I saw that somewhere, but can't remember where. Maybe if they stop doing that, then things should get nasty, like, not using their products.. how's that....I just love Warwicks and It bre...

....and maybe Rickenbacker should, at some point, drop using (German made) Shaller tuners and use (Kluson- if they sill exist) Grover or Gotoh.. If this escaltes more in Germany and elsewere....get their companies hurting!!!

Possibly retiring my Warwick while Germany is agianst us.

I love my Warwick bass, that has been a main bass for the last 3years, but after hearing news of Germany boycotting America and American products (that may include Rickenbackers), and becoming almost and enemy over the current war in Iraq, I find myself not wanting to support them in any way. Even t...

I saw them last Feb. The rhythm/lead guitarist was playing a Turquoise 330 about 50% of the time. A Rick might have looked better on their singer(Leah Nash). Nice curves should compliment (You know what I mean Nuge Nuge....) I never really paid attention to them much until I heard their lastest albu...

I've read that 1973 was the last year of the toaster on the 4001. After that it was the "high gain" that is still used today in modern form.

My 2 cents worth is....That has to be a fake! The inlays are not edge to edge and the fretboard does not look right, and no checkerd binding??? 1971 4001 would have that, and what happened to the bridge pickup?? This one is good enough that it could fool the unsuspecting bass purchaser, and is good ...

That sounds great, It's got that rauchy distorted rick tone. I also like it with out the effects. I use the Acoustic 360 patch when recording, I am always drawn back to it. I also use 8a- Tube preamp alot too. I feel I can get a great Squire/lee tone on that one.. I still have yet to use the bass po...

Thanks for the info, I will try that. I have a bass pod too, but I don't use it live. I love!! it for recording, so many choices to dial in. I like to keep it simple for playing live. Set the eq turn a few dials and your off..

EQ settings for 4003s/5

I gigged last night with my '01 4003s/5 MG, and had trouble dialing in that "perfect tone" or "the tone for me" and this particular bass. I could have been just a bad night for acousitcs. It did sound alot better when I stepped away from the amp. So that could be a factor too. An...
