Re: New Lennon Ad

It sounded more like one of the Beatle tribute band members doing an impersonation. And I thought it was creepy, inappropriate, etc. What next? President John F. Kennedy or some other long passed person with synthesized recreated voice messages? The whole concept is weird. I hope this doesn't become ...

Re: 2009 RRF CALENDARS AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Just got my calendar. Great job, Paul (and photo submitters). And thanks for adding the description on each photo to provide some information.

I hung the 2008 calendar in my office (next to my photos of my own guitars) and I received lots of positive comments about the calendar. Looking forward to ...

Re: To open or not to open (the case)

I haven't yet had to under the torture of waiting for the box to warm up. I think I'd almost have to leave it at a friend's house so that I wasn't overcome by the wait and open it too early.

I does make me wonder if the dealers follow the same guidelines before they remove the guitars for stock ...

Re: the Larry King Live show, I gotta say, Ringo looks and sounds great. Talk about aging gracefully. What was going on with Paul, anyway? Ringo seemed like he was trying to get Paul to chill out. I was almost cringing wondering if Paul was going to say or do something dumb.

God bless Ringo. The ...

I really like my EJ160E (Korean made). I also have a Strat, a Casino and a Rickenbacker 12 String, all wonderful guitars, but hands down, for some reason, that EJ160E stays in tune better than all of them. I just picked it up for the first time in a couple of weeks (work is getting in the way of ...

I love watching the Anthology set. I had a problem with one of the VCR tapes and I decided to spring for the DVD set, and I am really glad I did. The extra stuff on the "Special Features" DVD is worth the whole set. Seeing Paul, George and Ringo jamming and reminiscing was great, as were the Abbey ...

Here's something to ponder...

In the Beatles Gear book, page 84, there is a photo of Mal Evans moving guitars. The caption says it is at a concert in 1966 and the guitar on the right sure looks like the Ric bass. If the caption is accurate, maybe Paul took the Ric as a back up?

Who knows? It's ...

What I don't understand is why we are being offered a remix of Beatle songs but still no DVD release (or any other authorized, official release) of the Let it Be movie. All the outtakes, etc., etc. that have been released, but this movie, with the last live performances by the Beatles, is out of ...

Just picked up my brand new 325c64. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I am very excited. Holy smokes.

OK, guys, big dilemma - what do I do about the Made in America sticker? I am thrilled that it is made in America, but it does kind of stand out on the pick guard.

So, anyway, I am ...

According to Rob Taylor's DVD, Beatles to a Tee, it is the Tennessean on which George played the Day Tripper licks. He shows two guitars, both the Tennessean. He seems to know his stuff, so I'd bet on Rob's information.

I guess Rickenbacker didn't offer any update on when the first 325C64's would begin their journey from the factory?

I knew a Gerry Beckles in college - ND, Farley Hall - shared a dorm room one semester - and I remember when he bought a Rickenbacker bass - 1971 or 1972. I remember holding it and it was really cool (Gerry had turned me on to Yes, and Chris Squire had the same bass, I think. Of course I knew Paul ...
