i have 3 ricks 4003 4 strings and a 4001 v 63, but as far as 5 string basses nothing beats the sound of the Musicman stingray 5 , as far as punch and balls and the growl, you cant beat the stingray, no offense to anyone here

i just bought a bass from e bay , it has blue stings on it , does anyone know which brand of strings come in blue

i have a 2007 and i like it , sounds great, the neck could be a lttle less chunky, but i have an 88 musicman and its a got such a great vibe, i thought an older ric might be the same way , my 2007 feels brand new and shiny, it lacks the old vibe,

that is one killer bass mike , love it

there is a 77 4001 on ebay no skunk stripe, but also a 78 with a skunk ,, what year was it that they discontinued it and why, does anyone know this ?

having trouble with the springs and black washers,, can anyone advise me what order they go , is there a way to do this without taking off strings , i thought it would be a simple thing but it turned into an ordeal with the springs popping out before i could see how it was put together,am i doing so...

i juat saw that, whats up with the way the neck looks is it a real ric??

does anyone know if they used different woods

than the Jetglo 4001 C64 , on ebay one fg just sold for over 3000, i never see the jetglo 4001 c64 go for anywhere that high. is it more desirable ?

thanx , i think tha first year of production, they were a real deep blue, then in 2006 and 07 they came out with a lighther shade of blue and the headstock had the wings which i really like
