Re: Jazzmaster Owners:Do you Remove Tremolo Arm?
i don't know why fender let those go out. i've never met a cij with a trem that would stay put. bending the arm is the easiest fix, but the real reason this happens is because the collet (the sleeve the arm is pushed into) is set too wide. next time you change strings pop the trem assembly out of ...

Re: Jazzmaster Owners:Do you Remove Tremolo Arm?
i'm gonna be the odd one out here and say "dont worry about it too much" I've got a 63 jag, 64 jag, and a 67 bass VI all with trems identical to yours and if you look in the cases they all have wear in the lining from the trem arms being left in. i figure if they lasted for the 40+ years being left ...

Re: GREEN GUITARS
Dain, a couple of the apple-green-burst Ricks you are thinking about (one shown in the Bacon/Day book) belong to Jeff Benske at Top Shelf Guitars in Milwaukee. Go here and click on "our collection":

Re: GREEN GUITARS
You mean like this one?
no, there was a book tony bacon put out in the late 90s. here it is:
http://www.amazon.com/Rickenbacker-Book-Complete-History-Electric/dp/0879303298
towards the end it had a pic of a 60s rick with an "green apple" finish. i haven't been able to find it anywhere on the ...

Re: Givson Guitars "Beware Of Imitation".
Strangely enough, the only real electric sitar I know about (forget about that Rick bass ripoff, I don't want to hear about it) is the Rajah, which appears to have been made in Japan.
i think the whole point of this thread is that a lot of what happens in india STAYS in india. but the rajah is ...

Re: Givson Guitars "Beware Of Imitation".
hmmm, Givson Challenger bass (not to be confused with the Gibson Challenger guitars). Not bad looking. Is it short or long scale?
it was a long scale, and seemed to be a try at a bc rich "eagle". the materials were unlike any i'd seen, kind of like a 5th graders attempt at making a guitar. no ...
