Colour code for Rickenbacker white
Did Ric use auto paints in mid-seventies like Fender did? I'd like to find out the colour code for the white colour Ric used those days. At least 4000 basses were offered in that colour.

Re: 4001 Restoration
I know I can't help with this bass but...

Re: Schaller BMC tuners
To be correct 11/16" is the size of the peghole, shaft on BMC is 0.55" to be correct. Anyhow this looks bigger than the ones on every Rick I've seen.

Schaller BMC tuners
I've been looking at pics of 4000/4001/4003 headstocks an somehow it looks like the shaft of the Schaller tuners is smaller than 11/16". Am I correct, did Ric have tuners special made or are the Schaller BMC's they used "normal" 11/16" shaft ones? If someone knows the exact model number for tuners ...

Re: WHITE TO RUBY 4001
Is the CB available public or is it just for Rick approved restorers? I've been trying to find it with no luck so far.

Neck profile differences between 4000/4001/4003
Hello all,
I'm new in this forum. I find the world of Rickenbacker basses very interesting. I'm somehow liking the mid-70's 4000 most. If I have more than one pickup on my bass all I do is turn the knobs and never find a sound I like more than one rehearsal. Besides, one of my idols, Pete Trevavas ...
