Re: Rickenbacker 1979 Vintage TR25
Thanks. That's encouraging. I am so used to Fender Twin Reverb sound that I should not expect surf tone from this TR25.

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
Thanks, grazioso & jps for your input.
I watched Roy Clark played a instrumentals with a 12 string guitar (not a Rick) on Youtube last night. It sounds very interesting. That gave me some encouragement.

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
I finally got myself a Rick 12 string. It is 330/12 in fireglo. (see photo)

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
Thanks everyone for your inputs. I had to sell one of my Ric, so I sold my 330 and keep the 660 which match my 4003 (both in midnight blue). The 330 I sold has high gain pickups. I would have kept it if it has toater pickups.

Re: 365W
Thanks for your help and info. The guy took the listing off Craigslist. He might have sold it or changed his mind.

365W
Has anyone heard of 365W? Someone is selling a vintage 365W locally. The price seems to be high for a regular 365 unless W means someting? I heard of 365F (full size), 365 NS (new style), 365 OS (old style) but never heard of 365W. Anyone can help? Thanks.

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
I love the toaster pickups on 660 much better because I like the vintage sound. The chunky neck on 660 does not bother me as I am used to my Fender Nocaster RI's "baseball bat" neck. I just sold my 330.

Re: Rickenbacker 1979 Vintage TR25
Who else has a TR25 from the 70's?
I thought I was the only one
I bought mine new in 1979-1980.
I love it!
It's got all the bells and whistles.
I think mine was $150. in '79.
Thanks Wooly for your input. I've got this one used. It was well built and looks solid & clean for a 30 years old Amp. The ...

Rickenbacker 1979 Vintage TR25
Dont have much info on this Amp. I think it was made in 1979. Anyone knows? How much is this Amp worth? It is surprisingly clean for its age. Here are some reviews I found on line:

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
Thanks a lot. These info are very helpful. I think my next Ric will be 660/12 (or 660/12TP if I see one)

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
You are right. 660/6 neck is as wide and as chunky as my '51 Nocaster. I play from Banjo to Classical guitar, with acoustics & electric guitars in between (but not good at any of them) So my hands can adopt to any type of guitar necks (even Mosrites)

Re: 660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
Thanks guys. Mine is a 660/6. I had a chance to get a mint like new 660/12 a few months ago but did not go for it. Is there any difference between regular 660/12 and 660/12TP model?

660 vs 330 w/ toaster pickups
Hi, I am fairly new here.
I collect guitars but not too many Ric. I was looking for Ric with toaster pickups and had a chance to buy either a 330 or 660 locally. Both has toster pickups. Since I already have a '88 330, I decided to go with the 660. The neck of the 660 is a little chunky but does ...
