Re: 350V63 questions
Grommets it has. I'll try the foam and see what happens. I just want to add that I think the toaster pups make a great Punk guitar too. They have a fabulously unique trebley scream when used with a lot of gain. The treble gives it an awesome sound when used with a Wah pedal too. 'Very British.

Re: 350V63 questions
I too have been thinking about getting the 350v63, but what scares me away is the feedback. I have a 381 that I play through a Bogner 60W tube, and I haven't found a way to crank it up without taming that terrible microphonic squeal. However, it sounds great at low volume and using the pre amp ...

Re: How many 381/12V69 BBR?
I wrote to Rickenbacker to find out, but they never replied. (I wrote to them on many other occasions too, and they never replied.) I recall reading a thread on their website where Hall said that they either don't have records of their production (which I doubt), or they don't have the time to ...

Re: any love for a 381v69?
I have a 12 string in Blueburst, just like Bryant's. People are blow-away by its beauty and sound. I brought to a Guitar Center one day to try out in an amp, and crowd began forming. It's one of those guitars that you want to play for hours, I don't mind the weight at all. The 12 is a bit cramped to ...

Re: 350 bridge and tail modifications
Hi Ken,
You're right. The PRS stop/bridge would spread the strings a little wider than the Rick bridge, however I'm not sure if it would make a critical difference in sound or string position along the neck. And you make a very interesting suggestion about routing the strings through the body. Do ...

Re: 350 bridge and tail modifications
Thanks guys, I got a PRS bridge/stop piece and determined that it would indeed fit. I was not a big fan of the combination bridge/stop piece until I read about Paul Reed Smith and Ted McCarthy joint design ventures, and began comparing several guitar models that either had separate bridges and tail ...

350 bridge and tail modifications
I've trying to creating my own unique sound based on a Rickenbaker. To me there a too many musicians trying to emulate other artists' sound or trying to find that perfect Strat, Gibson, or Jackson sound, and by doing so they all end up sounding the same. I'm trying to find my own unique sound buy ...
