Re: Tuck and Roll
Thanks for the welcome - That rig It was definitely a "pants flapper". The 18" speaker was completely inaudible on stage, the physics of it focused the sound out about 20-30 feet, where it was really LOUD. I used to have the sound guy go to about 40 feet out during our first song to get the balance ...

Re: Tuck and Roll
Back in the day, my (pants flapping) rig was two Acoustic 470 amps - one powering a 6x12 sealed cabinet, and the other powering a 360 18" folded horn cabinet. It was freakin' loud, but clean as a whistle. This was taken about 1975.

Back when I went to college in Ithaca, House of Guitars was the place to go in Buffalo for cool guitars. Are they still in business? Roy

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
Cool photo and a great story, Roy! Welcome to the RRF.
+1 Roy. Cool story indeed. Say, did the two horror writers draw on their experiences from being in the band?

John,
I don't think so, they wrote some -really- gory stuff that ended up defining a new form of written ...

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric
Hey Roy, great photo. Do you hve any current pics of your bass?
Hey thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Kenobie, here's a recent shot - I still keep it in very good condition. The "rainbow" next to the pickguard was used in PCO to denote whose equipment was whose, and I liked the way it ...

Here's one for the "Old Farts playing Rics" department ..
This is a photo of me playing my then-new 4001 in 1976 at an outdoor festival called a "Be-In". The band played progressive art-rock and I ran the Rick into an Acoustic 470 6X12 guitar amp - of course I had the patented Squire "GinkyTone" to ...

Re: MXR pedals!
Hi Kenny,
I've got a Dyna Comp that I bought new in the '70's. It's got the block logo on front, but the script logo on the back plate, so it was made right around the time they switched. Still works fine, but the foam inside is gettin' a little wierd with age. Will provide pix if you are interested ...
