ye. i know that... if they want to make 4005 in USA its also fine and there will be demand. i'm sure.
but they probably prefer to be like that old guy diner that sells the exact same burger or steak and fries since civil war.
not my problem. just my 2 cents.. :P

even Fender reissued the coronado, starcaster and bass VI... and make some other cool stuff that people actually wants. (telecaster bass anyone?) and some even with reasonable price.
Gibson also reissued some nice basses from the past. or resembles, updated models, like the midtown.

i have the xtender key on 3 other basses. but i wonder about the ric model. i want to see front picture of it. especially the front of the headstock. and hear a comment..

I just put a hipshot d-tuner on my 4003fl. It was an easy install and everything is working and staying in tune. From the front you can't even tell its on there and I haven't noticed any change in the balance of the bass. It feels like an integral part of the bass already, like it needed to be ...
