Re: 12 Saddle Bridges

I do not buy John Halls argument about string quality. I have a 360/12 and I have always used Rickenbacker and TI strings with major intonation problems. Since I installed a 12-saddle bridge the intonation problems are gone. Maybe the problem was the bridge, maybe I have a bad guitar (which would be...

Re: 360/12 Headstock Q.

Well, on ebay i've found a 2004 360/12 with a non-cut-through headstock. That means they changed the headstock in 2005...

Re: 360/12 Headstock Q.

Hi Alex,

I once read that they changed the headstock in 2006. My 360/12 is a 2006 and it has the cut through headstock. The full width inlays came back in 2008.

Greetings from Lippstadt (let's talk a little bit soon)!

Re: New 360/12 problems . . .

I don't know if every Rickenbacker is set up correctly when it leaves the company. I once saw a brandnew 360/12 C63 with a huge neck underbow and a nut that was much to high. It hung on a wall at the musicstore in Cologne. The guitar was nearly unplayable. I talked to one of the employees and he tol...

Re: AC30 CC2X tube question: Which one's for the normal channel?

Can anyone of you experts tell me how to remove the chassis of a Vox AC30 CC1? I tried to open the amp just to have a look at the tubes and to make sure that I really know how to open it. I would like to install JJ tubes after christmas. So I removed the back plate that is held by 8 screws. After do...

My 2009 Rickenbacker 381V69. Thank you, Craig!

Hi folks! My Rickenbacker 381V69 arrived this wednesday! I bought it from Craig Witty (nickname "wittyair"). The sound is fantastic, a little bit fuller and warmer than the sound of my 360/12. Exactely what I was looking for as an addition for my 360/12 and my 650D. Thank you so much, Crai...

Re: 360C63 Inlays

The C63 is an exact replica of George Harrison's first Rickenbacker that was manufactured in december 1963. That guitar didn't have CP inlays. The first Rickenbackers with CP inlays appeared in 1964. So it's correct, the poured ones are closest to the original.

Well, of course I also could have used my strings for a year or even longer. It always depends on how demanding you are concerning the sound a few weeks after restringing the guitar.

Re: Best strings for a 360/12

and if you end up preferring the cheapo D'Addarios to the big-money TI or Rick strings, that experiment will pay for itself pretty quickly. (If you prefer the others...well, at least you'll know.) I used Rickenbacker strings for two years and had to change them every 5 weeks because a few days afte...

Re: Some questions about 360/12v64

Hmmmmmm... correct me if I'm wrong... But my information is that the 360 V64 was equipped with 12K toasters while the C63 is equipped with 7,4K toasters...

Re: Thomastik Infeld 12 String Set

During the last two years I used Rickenbacker strings on my 360/12. In december I ordered three sets of Thomastik Infeld at Pick of the Ricks. After restringing my guitar I can say the following: I was able to lower the action although before doing that I thought that I already had the lowest possib...

Re: 1960 Rick 360

I really can't stop looking at the pictures of this beautiful guitar. How does it sound compared to a modern 360/6? Who can tell me? BTW, I remember that more than a year ago a 360 capri was sold for something like 18.000 $ on ebay. As your guitar seems to be in good condition I would say that its v...
