The rod, if still there, can be cut and rethreaded. You could contact RIC or possibly Paul W about a replacement nut. Lots of info on the forum about cutting and rethreading so do an advanced search. I started out on a Peavey T-40 in 1979, then later sold it for my '80 Ric. I'd always regretted that sale, but as a 16 year-old, who would have thought of having more than one bass?
