Re: Options for other pickups...SAVE ATLANTIS!!!
I'm definitely keeping the stock parts so I can put it back to factory spec if needed. I'd never route it out for EMGs or anything crazy like some have done to 650 models. Thanks for the concern

I'm not going to mod then sell immediately. I'm trying to find pickups or mods that will make me keep it :)

Options for other pickups...SAVE ATLANTIS!!!
My wife needs surgery and we're without insurance, so I'm looking at thinning the herd considerably.

Any idea what the deal on these pickups might be? It looks like the Seymour Duncan logo, but also like they are in the casing of a Ric pickup.
Maybe SD mini-hums retrofitted?

What 500k Pots? Or do I go 1meg?

I've decided to try replacing the pots in my 650. Things are a bit muddy/lifeless, and I've read that this will help.
I was wondering: with the Rickenbacker humbuckers, will 500k or 1meg pots be better (or will they show much difference)?
Hoping to add a little more sparkle...I know that by ...

Re: Cleaning up a 650D
will the watco stuff leave any tacky feeling or will it preserve the feel of the natural wood? since it's got other chemicals in it, I'm worried I might end up with a "waxed" feel - and look.
Thanks for the responses!

Cleaning up a 650D
I picked up a second 650D a few months back. I paid a bit high, but got trigger happy, and I love it (I foolishly sold my first one a little while back).
