Any idea about these pickups? (360, DCFC, Chris Walla!)

Any idea what the deal on these pickups might be? It looks like the Seymour Duncan logo, but also like they are in the casing of a Ric pickup.
Maybe SD mini-hums retrofitted?

FWIW, that's Chris Walla, guitarist for Death Cab for Cutie. He has great tone, tastes, and is an excellent producer.

thanks! are you sure they are the firebird replacements? SD makes a few different mini-HB models and they are all the same dimensions. :D

If they now make more than the Firebird pickups with that same cover I guess they could be any of them. Come to think of it SD makes a neck pickup with that cover for Rick 4001/3 basses. There was a guitar for sale that was set up like that a while back that was discussed here. It may have been in On Line Sightings but I'm not sure.

There was actually a post about this specific guitar a little while ago.
I believe the owner posted it himself.
