Re: August 1973 & August 1973 Rickenbacker 4001
Whoops, that was a slip of the keyboard, I meant 4001. Only the bridge is from a 4003.

ReIssue... But he got the bass for dirt-cheap (like: dirt-cheap!), I guess the horseshoe is half the value of the whole bass.

Short rickomentary, but with Lemmy's finished 4001 @ the end
For the Lemmybass: 07.55. I'm sure that even Lemmy had to hand at least 50% of the defunct TRC to have it replaced... (

Re: The Signature bass (that never was)

Roger Glover's Rick 4001. With FW inlays and CB binding, 2 jazz-pickups (reverse poled, wired as a humbucker), and a Gibson minibucker underneath the bridgecover.

Re: 1973JG, 1994FG and 2004BB (Basses)
My '62 Precision, but I can't say that out loud over here I'm affraid
I really like the feel of the '73, with the flatwounds (I'm a sucker for that), but if I should use flatwounds on for example the BlueBoy instead of the 4001, the BlueBoy would be my favorite.

1973JG, 1994FG and 2004BB (Basses)
Because I'm a bassplayer, and I love bedroomgroovin', here some movies of me playing various Rick basses. A 1973 4001 Jetglo with flatwounds, and a 2004 BlueBoy and 1994 Fireglo with roundwounds.

Re: Pictures of Lily (guitar mutilation)
Not really my first 12-er. I used to own a 360/12 some years back, but I sold that one because it really had a VERY slim neck, and with my 6.5 feet, and dito hands, it really was a bit too narrow... This 370 has got a little more "meat" on the neck, just what I need. The neck of a 660/12 is perfect ...

I was thinking. I have this guitar 3 days now, enough time for me to adapt to the awkward stringspacing and the humongous amount of strings, I'll give it a go. It didn't come out too bad. Pete recorded this song on his 360/12 MapleGlo back in the days, so yeah, it's "pretty accurate ...

Re: HN370D
HN370D is offcourse an acronym derived from HNGD (Happy New Guitar Day). More pics will follow, once I figured out how I can let go of the guitarstrap, and when the batteries of my picturemaker are back up and running. :)
Here with the '73 4001JG

So I decided to pull the plug, and to buy the guitar that haunted my dreams from the time I started playing, a 370/12 MapleGlo. On the local craigslist-like site I saw a 1999 370/12 for sale, about an hour driving from my place, already with the 12-saddle bridge installed (6-saddle bridge is also ...
