Re: 340 / 350 / 370 - Differences?

I agree with with Dan in that the middle pickup is pretty much a non-issue from a playing standpoint. Of course I've played Strats for years so I guess I'm used to having a third pickup. I would think it's something one could get used to if they desire. Tone-wise with the standard wiring (I have a ...

Re: Rockin' Johnny

He gets a very different but cool vintage vibe out of his Rick.

It definitely has a vintage feel. I like the tone, that's for sure. 8) From the limited amount I heard, a little too "roadhousey" for my tastes though. I like it, but in limited doses. I agree with Brian in thatthe guy has got it ...

Re: Need help: new pickups for Ibanex AF75. JAZZ?

IMO the Duncan 59 is a good choice. It's my all around favorite. SD also has a Jazz model that might work well. I would think any lower output humbucker should serve you well. From what I've read, the Ibanez guitars get good reviews in stock form but I would think upgrading to any better quality ...

Re: Preachin' to the Choir

Welcome Matt ,from another YouTuber. Your video is quite creative compared to my "sitting by the table" one. :) The main thing, for me, is having fun and turning people on to Rickenbackers. Half of the responses I get to mine are questions about the Rick. It kinda upstages my playing though :roll ...

Thanks. I'll be around when I can. I tend to read more than I post though.

Hmmm, I see I spelled rhythm wrong and can't edit  . Spelling bugs me as much as my playing

Re: Preachin' to the Choir

Hi everybody. Well, I'll fess up, that's me in the blues video. I was kind of shocked when I found this thread, to say the least. As a long time Rick fan and fairly recent owner, I was surprised by the few Rick videos on YouTube but not surprised by the ones that were there. I'm a fan of all of the ...
