Nothing sounds and plays like the old 60's Rics. It's not like you can go out and get another. If you don't need to sell it, I wouldn't recommend it.

Anyone ever try 3M Finesse-It II # 39003? Maybe I'll try some on my modded pick guard tonight. I'm sure I used it on an old Epiphone Les Paul from the pawn shop that was covered in surf, skate and banana stickers when I got it.

My 4000 is a 1967. Was surprised to find cavity for extra pick up under the hood. I have a shot where I can see 4000 in pencil in the puka for the pots. That is, the hole routed out for the pots.
