Well, then it might not be a B, "just" a 4001S. Really no difference at that point.
Except for the neck-through and Rick-O-Sound.

Re: Any 4003SB out there?

Mine too, but I also added the vintage knobs and a Pickguardian one-piece, vintage cut pickguard.

Mine is registered here... http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... =index.php

However, I only see the Special designation of "S BH." Is that the same thing?

I used the Dunlop strap-locks, and went to Home Depot and bought machine screws that were the same length and thread size as the RIC strap pins then used a belt sander to grind down the size of the screw head to fit inside the strap-lock receiver... It was masterful.

Thanks! It also sports a custom-made Sergio-Special pickup... Now I just need a vintage pickup surround.

Here's some pictures for the curious... http://homepage.mac.com/epouvantail/PhotoAlbum7.html Since receiving it, I've added a "vintage" one-piece pickguard, vintage knobs and a Sergio-Special hi-gain pickup. A Toaster is next, and I'm still waiting for my "slippers" from Jared. =)

There was talk about that, but I can't remember why it WASN'T an SB. Maybe because it didn't have a toaster pickup? (But it WILL for Christmas!)

OK dudes... I'm gonna have to post the pics again. I have an '84 4003S with a split-pickguard, truss-rod adjustments at the the body, neck-through with a skunk stripe. Albeit, the skunk stripe is MAPLE, and not the usual walnut... But there IS a skunk stripe.
