+ whatever number we're up to at this point!bassduke49 wrote:Welcome to the Forum, David. The Snowglo one gets my vote just because it is comparatively rare. Rickenbacker made only a few of these a couple of years ago, and you're lucky to have found one for sale. Enjoy!

Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .

There is nothing, NOTHING more iconic that a white Rickenbacker bass.

Buy both. Flip the Snowglo!AkaGoal wrote:The music shop owner doesn't know anything about basses so he doesn't know that this color is more expensive than a "standard" color
So...y'all guys think I should go with the snowglo?

What would you guys think about a black pickguard on the snowglo rick?
Re: Midnight blue vs. Snowglo
Although I own BassDuke's book, I'm not as conversant with the history of the white model or the history of finish issues with the blue. I just know what I like. My pick is the blue instrument. FWIW, mine is Montezuma Brown, another one not seen as often as FG and MG.

Andy, the Snowglo came out after the book was published, but there were White Rics before that.
If I were to get a Snowglo 4003, I would get Pickguardian to make a pearlescent pickguard to match the fingerboard inlays. To me, that looks like ice, so you would have the beautiful(?) wintry combination of Ice and Snow.

I prefer it actually, but you'll need to paint the truss rod cover to match.AkaGoal wrote:What would you guys think about a black pickguard on the snowglo rick?
