Re: RIC RAC (Removable Arm Contour) :)

Even with the armrest, you still have to learn to play with your forearm off the body of the guitar. but it will help and the arm rest really doesnt kill volumne/tone since it is attached right at the corner.

Re: RIC RAC (Removable Arm Contour) :)

Neat. Never saw that. Well, at least mine was free and custom made for the Ric's curve. I didnt see anything on that site for specific guitar/bass. Also, i never realized till shown last night on his acoustic how much sound is lost by an arm resting along the body.

RIC RAC (Removable Arm Contour) :)

Took my 4003 in for set up. The luthier asked how i like it etc. Got a surprise when i picked it up last nite. He said: "You mentioned the binding hurt your right arm. So, I made you this". A beveled piece of maple. IT FEELS GREAT!! Held on with double sided tape I am told will not be a problem to ...

Re: stereo cord

The two mono jack i have is correct for the situation. BUT, i tried the mixer. That did not work. THEN i completely forgot I had a old peavey keyboard amp with two channels. I plugged into that i it worked.
I am now looking for a new head with two channels. I kind of got hooked into hearing my bass ...

Re: stereo cord

i think i captured the photo. ordered the fireglo, then after a yr of waiting was getting tired ...

i am newer to Ric (maple 4003). i am interested in using the stereo cord. I use a effects box on the neck pu with my compressor on the bridge pu. two heads two cabs. All is fine.
I have a small room gig coming up. in order to use only one head and cab i bought a Two Mono Jack to One mono Jack ...

Re: 4003 vs 4001c64

Me again. I just found a thread in the Ric site comparing a new 4003 and 4001c64. They say the 4003 sound is more bottom end, which is probably more appealing to me. more P bass sound ??

4003 vs 4001c64

Can someone tell me the difference in sound between the two? I recently bought a new 4003. I always thought the c64 was basically the same bass with 'vintage' body. Last week, at the guitar show, I was looking at a C64 (first time "in person"). I really liked it. Asking $2600. I was told the pickups ...
