Re: New RIC Factory Video

Thanks for posting, John. I'm blown away by how long it takes to buff a guitar. You should be very proud of preserving "craftsmanship" instead of constantly looking for mechanized ways to take people out of the product.

I had never seen a Rickenbacker acoustic in person, but was delighted to see two at the Olivia's Vintage Guitar booth at the Arlington Guitar Show. Beautiful! Check Olivia's web site for examples.

Re: Christmas Comes Early!

Thanks, Scott. I was thinking about the 12-saddle bridge. Interestingly, it seems to have pretty good intonation as is. That's a one-day opinion, however. Good suggestion!

Re: Christmas Comes Early!

It's a 1987, and was one of the early ones that slipped by with Ric-O-Sound... it's really flawless for a 23-year-old guitar.

Re: 381 questions

I think the 381/12V69 is a very flexible guitar, and I love the toasters. I can get all the Ric sounds if I finagle with the controls. I also think the right amp helps, as with all electrics. Mine's a Traynor YCS-50, very flexible and nice tube sound. But besides all that, it's a "work of wood art ...
