New RIC Factory Video

Post by johnhall »

I feel a little funny posting stuff that relates to myself, but still I'm sure some would like to see a little more about the company.

It's odd since I have about two drinks a year and no tattoos!

A great little video - kind of a teaser - we would love to have seen more of the factory, but good stuff, nonetheless.

Thanks for posting this, Mr. Hall!

This video, more than many others I've seen, emphasizes the handbuilt aspect of the Rickenbacker instrument, which is its point of difference, and which also engenders such passion and fandom from its players.

I view the CNC part of the product as the high-precision foundation upon which the people at RIC work their wonders. Ricks are conceptually brilliant, sonically distinctive and visually unique and incomparable, and current Ricks are the best for quality and consistency. This is a triumphant testament to the personal attention given each individual instrument.

Yeah, it's respect I'm talkin' about:

Well done John. That's a great video.

It's a cool video.
This past August, right after SCARF, JH graciously allowed me to take some video in the factory. I have so much to edit. I just got a new computer, now I need a good video editing program. Then I'll have a nice usable video to share.

Paul: it's not a Mac. Right now I'm stuck with only Windows Movie Maker, which I really don't care for.

I've been craving the video since I walked in the Starting Gate, Joey! Sony Vegas is what you need, Not WMM, if I had the scratch, I'd get Vegas.

Cool vid! If this is any indication, the current shade of Fireglo is absolutely beautiful!

Hah! Exactly my first impression: the FG colour's great in the video. Nice little video which basically tells the story for the people with short attention span (all of us that is, eh) :D
