Re: Burns' Guitars Showcase
I recently received my new Fiesta Red Burns Hank Marvin Signature guitar. It's hard to believe that this guitar is not more popular. For approx $1200, and that included the shipping across the pond, Sperzel locking Tuners, hard case, leather tool pouch and tools, leather strap, manual, an exotic gui...

Re: Are Rickenbackers pop guitars?
Whenever this subject comes up, you have to remember that most Rickenbackers are SINGLE COIL guitars. Both single coil and humbucking pickups lend themselves to varied applications, and both are widely used in POP, which has quite a broad spectrum. But for heavy metal, unless your Ric has humbuckers...

Re: Self-destructing tailpiece anyone?
The Model 350 I recently posted originally had black hardware, but most of it, including the black "R" tailpiece was gone when I bought it. The "R" had been replaced with a John Lennon style Bigsby. I switched everything else to chrome, and the pickguards from black to white. Luc...

Re: Favorite contemporary standard finish?
Midnight Blue - A lovely color anyway, but it looks phenomenal on my 350. It looks like Navy Blue at some angles, and looks almost Royal Blue in others. You just don't see this color on 350's, from what I've seen.

Re: Was this o.k. to do?
With all due respect to you "Mod Squaders" out there, IMHO, you'd be far better off just getting an additional 5-string bass and leaving the Rickenbacker original. I realize you want to do "the limbo", and see "how low can you GO", but I think it's a mistake, and someth...

Re: 320/350 Models--any to add?
Model 350 - made in August, 1991 - Typical Model 350 that was originally Midnight Blue w/ black hardware. Most of the black hardware, including the black "R" tailpiece was missing when I got it, so it's now Midnight Blue w/chrome + white pickguards. It has the typical 3 high-gain pu's, a B...

Re: Lightshow Guitar and Bass
There was a time when Rickkenbacker had all their vintage guitars in a small building in front (as I recall) of their plant. You could just walk right in , pick any of them up, and play them. And I mean VINTAGE!! Light show Rics, many Rics with the gold pickguards, and TV style knobs - You NAME it!!...

Re: Model 350
Thanks to all, for your comments and warm welcome. My wife keeps burning the toast, and I explained to her that you're not SUPPOSED to have to scrape it with a knife every time. Her phony excuse was that we need a new toaster, so I told her not to worry, and that I'd get ahold of Rickenbacker and or...

Good question - The seller must have never heard of Ebay, and the guy at GC who priced it is probably now unemployed.

I was just in the right place at the right time. It had only been there a couple days. It was hiding in a corner, sucking it's thumb and waiting to be adopted.

Re: What's YOUR attraction to Ricks?
I was a huge Jefferson Airplane fan, and I always liked Paul Kantner's Ric. Beyond that, Their entire design approach was "outside the box", and kinda art deco in appearance. I just love the 2-tiered, space-age pickguards, the way the neck is WAY HIGH off the body, and the way the pickups ...

Model 350
Here's the new, bouncing baby, just adopted from the Guitar Center orphanage. Of course, I had to pay the outrageous adoption fee of $599 (don't hate me). I balked at first on the price, but eventually caved in. The little tyke was born in 1991 with black hardware, but when I brought it home,...
