Re: I Have a New Bass! I Have an Amp Question!
Fabio, that Little Mark II head belongs to John Hall, the CEO of RIC. He uses that head when his band, Hautewerk practices and gigs. Great sounding, very portable and light little head with great tone and power.

Re: I Have a New Bass! I Have an Amp Question!
On album, Mike's tone almost sounds direct on the early albums. It's almost pure 4001 tone. For gigging I prefer Yorkville (Traynor) and Genz Benz. To show how tastes are, I don't like Mark Bass AT ALL. Try before you buy. Acoustic have a nice sound and are good workhorse rigs. A combo should do ...

Re: I Have a New Bass! I Have an Amp Question!
Thanks for the amp advice. I have not decided yet whether to go combo or head and cabinet. I like the combo because it is more compact, and with the MarkBass adding another cab is pretty easy.

Re: Cleaning stuff available out of USA
Congrats on the 4003!
For the Zymol, have you tried automotive parts/care shops? It's mainly aimed at the automotive market, not guitars. I see from Google that they have teamed up with Ferrari for some kind of special wax, so one might think it's available somewhere in Italy.
Hmm, on the Zymol ...

Cleaning stuff available out of USA
Hi Lads,
I'm new to this forum, and now a proud new Italian owner of a brand new 4003 JG (the very 1st Rick in my life !!). I had a
look in here for cleaning suggestion, and the stuff you all mention, Zymol, is of course not available here in Rome.

Re: New Owner of a brand new 4003
Hi Lads,
Got back home with the Rick sporting D'Addario Chrome flats 040.060.080.100, with the neck straight dead...No longer relief, stings as low as possible to avoid unwanted buzz...What to say ? It's like silk, smooth and fast, and the tone has really, really improved much if compared with that ...

New Owner of a brand new 4003
Dear All,
I bought yesterday my very 1st Rick, a brand new beautiful 4003. It is my life's dream, after Hoffies V62 and V63, and i was forced to tune it an half step down, in Ab, to meet our band needs for vocal. This done, the neck has still visible too much relief and high action ...
