They tend to feel very different from Pyramid...

Re: bridge saddles
I can't access that thread unfortunately - it says that I am not authorized? Forgot about that new "feature!" Here's some words from the thread, from Paul W: I've seen the bakelite bridge on other slab-bodied Ricks, but they were combo 400 and 900 models of earlier vintage. This one looks...

Re: bridge saddles
Could be Bakelite. There's a thread about late-50s 420s/Combo models with just such a bridge: http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=393698&p=603730 I can't access that thread unfortunately - it says that I am not authorized? I also notice that the nut is made from the same-...

I have a 1960 Combo 1000, below are photos of the bridge - tailpiece http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt213/mrkerb/pedals/bridge.jpg http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt213/mrkerb/pedals/tailpiece.jpg The saddle is a single piece of black plastic, probably Delrin. Re: Looking for the owner of my Dads old Rickenbacker
You could always contact Elderly and see if they'd be willing to act as an intermediary, to contact the person they sold it to, for potential re-sale. But that would probably end up getting expensive. True enough though you will never know unless you ask! There is also a 50/50 chance that it sold t...

toggle switch on single pickup guitars
I have been enjoying my first Ric and am curious about the toggle switch on my single pickup 1000 (1960 model). It provides a volume cut and a change in tone though this can be tempered by the position of the guitar's tone control. The lower gain output is kind of 'Stratty' and the higher gain posit...
