Re: Model of the Week 22: The 4004LK Lemmy Kilmister

Hey J_gary

Wow, you got the complete stack? How cool is that?! I could only afford the head
and hopefully one day I'll find a cab or two.

I know this is a foolish question but: how do you like it? I'll bet there's nothing
that can rearrange furniture better than your rig!

Cheers!

How about a little "teaser" pic while it's in the works?

Cheers!

Re: My 4004lk just got a little bit more cool!

Well, Finally I get to take delivery of the 1992lem and...It goes straight into the shop.

Low to no output. The fifty watter on 2 smoked the 1992 on 10...

This has to be a first for marshall: a quiet amp!

Sorry for the ****** pic. As soon as it returns, I'll try and do it justice.

Cheers all!

Re: My 4004lk just got a little bit more cool!

Great shots Kira!

BTW: I think I saw three 4004lk's in his stand backstage at the hob anaheim.
How cool is that! (Come to think of it, isn't there someone in this forum who
owns three 4004lk's as well?) Sweet jesus!

Cheers!

Re: My 4004lk just got a little bit more cool!

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Funny story: I went to the motorhead show at the anaheim hob to deliver a guitar to phil campbell. Just in case,
I brought along the backplate. After meeting with phil and his guitar tech roger (ultra cool guys), I asked roger if
he could have lemmy sign my backplate ...

My 4004lk just got a little bit more cool!

Well, at least this didn't take 9 years and 8 months...

Lemmy is a hell of a nice guy and actually was interested in the story as to why
delivery took so long.

My god, what is there left to wait for...

Re: 1,000 days

Hey All!

Sorry for the late replies

Thanks for the numbers update john! Funny thing, I work in accounting...(D'oh!)

Alright Berth...grumble...I guess they could have made me wait more. Wouldn't want to do it again though.

Rickenbacker pretty much took the order from Grayson's tunetown the monday ...

Re: 1,000 days

I always like bringing this up for shi*s and giggles (and I'm not trivializing the 1000 day wait)...

I placed my order for the 4004lk on February 24, 1996. I took delivery of the bass October 15, 2005.

My guess is that it ran about 3515 days...

I know it's hard waiting but don't lose hope.

On a ...

Hey Folks!

Fuel for the fire:

$1699.00 (I have the original receipt quoting me $1449.00 back in 1996). The dealer apologized for having to raise the initial price since Ric raised the prices...

Hey J Gary (and all)

Don't sweat the timing of the train, brother you got a good seat! As for the old dude reference: Hell, I still haven't fully accepted that there's music post 1978 (ufo and motorhead not withstanding...)

If the music wasn't so damn loud, I would feel so much more in denial ...

Congrats dave (and a mighty hello to all!)

Here's a question for you fine folks:

Does anyone know if all 60 of the edition are accounted for? Granted there are some that have gone overseas or that remain in a "unsold" state, however, what is the highest number known on this board?

I've got ...

Hey Steve

Just wondering: did you see the pix posted previously of the incomplete lemmy "wings" from a couple of months ago?

It looks like the wings closest to the bottom of the pic are your bass

Great looking one man!

Cheers!

Here's a question that's been rolling around in my mind: does anyone know how many of these things are circulating at this particular point in time?

I've heard references to the edition number made by folks. I'm just curious as to how many more are coming out before the edition is complete ...

Hey guys

Thanks for the warm greetings to the forum. Great photos and posts.

I'll tell ya, a lot has happened in 9.66 years. A quick recap: law degree, +40lbs, my cousin vinny-like bar attempts...D'oh!

Seriously though, I might have had the first 4004lk on order back in February 1996 ...
