Re: Gamelan Tunas Mekar
Beautiful pictures. I once saw a performance of Gamelan music in Washington. The gracefulness of the music and the people helped melt away my original awkwardness and I was able to float along. I was stone cold sober too. What variety of Gamelan were you performing?

Re: YOU TUBE OF THE DAY--THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLEE
I would like to submit this short video from a San Francisco band representing, the good the bad and the ugly. The guitarist is particularly disturbing.

Re: LaBelle and a 4001
That's pretty cool but finger playing with the guard thingy on has to be awkward.

Re: The Church - Ric BASS sighting
That's pretty cool of RIC to do that. Whenever Marty picked up that bass on stage he had a huge smile on his face and you could tell he was really enjoying himself. Real interesting slides up the neck too.

As a side note The Church's new Cd "Untitled #23" is quite impressive. Beautiful songs supported by brilliant guitar work. My favorite since Starfish.

Saw the Portland show last night. Very cool show and MWP sounded great on the 4003 FG.

One of my favorite songs that features a fretless is "Family Snapshot " by Peter Gabriel.

Mine came from I Tunes for $9.99 last year. It's really great and helps bring in the Christmas spirit.

Re: Strings for my Fretless Rick
I've had TI flats on my '73 FL for about 3 years and they just sound better with age. I like the Bwah sound I get from RW's but I don't want to damage the beautiful rosewood. I also shunted the cap which gives it a huge woody sound.
