That is great news John! I look foward to the jingle jangle of those vintage pickups in my 330/12...maybe even this year!
Great company....transparent CEO.

Re: Ordering New Ric...
Nah...i ordered it new from a shop that did not have one on order. Prolly 2 years before they get it.
There should be a system for those that are ordered and already sold, and those that are bought for stock. (although they prolly dont stay in "stock" for very long...

Re: Ordering New Ric...
Ended up ordering it from my local dealer friend (Mainley Music, Ellsworth Maine). Chris is a stand up guy and I have a bit of patience.

It's your choice....all of these factors effect tone.
Same thing with picks...individual choice.
I always lean on factory issued parts...

Re: Why missing truss covers?
Again...it is so foreign to me, i cannot fully grasp it.
I get the touring/adjustment thing...makes sense.
I bought an Elliott Easton Gretsch that the guy sold off the pickguard and the TRC...there were all these little things that i had to repair/replace. I guess this is my baggage.

Re: RIC is Eighty Years Old!
It really is amazing what Ric has done...kinda like Scotty Cameron putters. Started out as a small builder, got some high level exposure (Beatles, Tiger Woods) and took off. Ric has certainly stood the test of time...and no sex scandals.
Bravo...

Good points...
I am always so careful with my guitars...i treat them like the fine instruments that they are.
Others may not be the same.

Re: New 330/12
Congrats Peter!
Did you replace the pickups or did you buy it that way?
My next goal is a 12 with Toasters...tell me about the tone? Do you have any experience with higains?

Re: 360/12 Spot On Setup and Tuning
The "click" or "ping" is usually binding at the nut. Either a widening of the nut slot or some lube at the nut should resolve this.

Why missing truss covers?
I am following the Ric on the Bay with a missing TRC... Now i understand what a pain it is to take it off and put it on with the strings, but c'mon man...it's like wearing a tuxedo without a tie. Also, it's not a small TRC...not real easy to lose. Are we to assume that the seller sold it off? And if...
