Finish Question 4003S

I recently bought a nice new FG 4003S. I noticed on the lower aspect on the body that there are some scattered areas on the edges that are not perfectly smooth. They don't feel smooth and in fact in the right light one can see a slight bubbled/corrugated appearance (for lack of a better description ...

1993PLUS setup question

Hello - recently got my fireglo 1993PLUS in Fireglo - fantastic instrument. I have a couple of other 360/12s which are, of course, great, but this is a real beauty.

A couple of questions for any of you out there that have one of these 1993PLUS's

1) Have any of you found the nut slots in general a ...

Re: Truss Rods hard to access

I have a similar issue with my new 4003S. I agree too, that more of a gap should be left. Here was Mr. Hall's suggestion from the RIC Forum. Check out this link:

Re: New Ric, Neck Twist

I have an 1987 Fireglo 330 and a 2008 Jetglo 330. Both have slim necks as you would expect. The 87 is a bit slimmer though, high gain pickups with non adjustable pole pieces and less output in the bridge vs neck pickup (ie about 6.5k bridge and 14k neck - they did that for awhile in the 80s) and it ...

Re: New Ric, Neck Twist

If you lived in South Eastern Ontario, I would have been happy to have a look at your 330. I can empathize with your frustration. If I were you, as I and others have suggested is just get your money back from L&M. Good luck.

Re: New Ric, Neck Twist

From my experience, it is hit and miss as to whether a given L&M tech/salesman is familiar with how to set up a RIC, adjust truss rods etc. I don't mean any disrespect but many techs are more familiar with fenders, gibson's etc. It surprises me how tech at stores don't bother to read the instruction ...

Re: New Ric, Neck Twist

I too would recommend returning the guitar for a full refund since Long and Mcquade has a 30 day return policy. Ask them to order you another Jetglo 330 to replace it.

Weight of Old vs New Ricks

Hello!
I had the chance to try a '4 Jetglo 330 (all original) recently and noticed that it was considerably lighter than my 2008 Jetgo 330. I do have an '87 330 as well and
the '74's weight was similar to my '87 but both the '74 and '87 were considerably lighter than the 2008 model. I realize that ...

Re: Pot values 325C64

That would be great. I measured the values on my original '83 wiring harness and found that they were a bit unusual. I measured about 450k for the tone pots, 100k for the volume pots and 250k for the 5th knob. Thanks!

Pot values 325C64

I was wondering if anyone who owns this model has measured the pot values. I am working on creating a new harness for my '83 RIC 320. According to the RIC schematics, 330K pots are used, but it was my understanding that the pot values on this model are different (more like the original) and the ...
