He said it was the first time he'd ever broken one. He didn't have any extras and we were the only band. It was actually pretty fun...

Re: From Pyramids to Thomastik-Infelds
It seems to me that a lot of people back in the day didn't treat their instruments as well as they should have. And a lot of these instruments a are looking like - if they'd survived. I'm actually amazed at how beat up some old guitars are. I play a lot of shows and don't always treat my guitars as...

I have to add that I really like Bill Wymans Solo Records from the 70's. Some very cool and overlooked stuff on them.

Re: Transonic - cool article...
The VOX AC30VR for example is the better way, IMHO. Love it. And, important for gigs, 10kg less weight! Every tube has to be exchanged after a certain time. The VR just needs one, the "real" AC30 seven! - Compare costs. I can not understand why the VR is not much more common. It should be...

He was playing Travis Beans for a while in the mid 70's as well. Apparently the only 2 short scale Bean's were made custom for him.

Re: From Pyramids to Thomastik-Infelds
Is it possible to see a close up picture of the cracked paint? Btw. the dear Mr. Lennon is not a good example how to treat an instrument right. As I read in this forum a lot of his instruments had to suffer. It seems to me that a lot of people back in the day didn't treat their instruments as well ...

I love Bigsby's yet oddly don't own a guitar with one. I do have a guitar with Bigsby pickup thought and it's awesome!
