I think my problem is the wiring harness rattling against the body. Now I just have to figure out a good way to get in there and tie things up. The guitar is body sound--I just need to clean up the wiring. Probably my fault for being sloppy when I replaced most of the stock electronics. Thanks all ...

The Casino/Vox thing is a good sound, no doubt, but I think I prefer my Casino (when it's working, see my post over "the others) through a good Fender amp. I've got a Deluxe reverb I'm currently loving--it's a good ric amp too.

My fear is that something is messed up with the wood inside the body, under the bridge. If that's the case I'll just have to dump the thing and get an Elitist or a Lennon model....I don't generally go for Asian guitars but I figured that even the original Casino's were just plywood bodies with two ...

Hold Me Tight, I Want to Hold Your Hand, and on lots of the time live. Watch the Shea concert and you see/hear it on a couple of tunes.

You're right, Nick, I think the only time he used the neck pup was on his 325's and of course the J160e. As much as I like Rics, I must admit there is something really cool about a P90 through a cranked amp.

Yeah, I'm getting rattle through my amp. And I don't have the pick guard on mine, I found it got in the way.

That whole MSG concert is on Youtube, forgive me for not posting the link, but I've always liked the look, and sound of that guitar. I never could quite figure out JWL's motivation for the neck pickup, unless he just happened to find the guitar like that and think it was a good idea, every shot I've ...

Epiphone Casino Blues....

Hey all, I've got an Epi Casino that is driving me crazy. It has this intermittent rattle/buzz coming from the bridge that makes it nearly unplayable--totally distorting the amplified sound. What's the most frustrating is I just got done replacing the bridge--I figured the problem was the cheap ...

I think the guitar up around the neck look was probably inherited from the likes of Tony Sheridan and Roy Orbison, both of them played big hollow body guitars pretty high up. It has been said that John and George got the J160e's because they thought they were getting archtops like Sheridan's. Don't ...

I always thought that Working Class Hero was JL's sarcasm at its most bitter. As he was once quoted as saying: "You make you're own dream." I interpret the song as his rejection of the social narratives of his day and living life for himself. But that's just my take on it.

Charly, I'm told that's the style these days....

As I said, I kind of like the drums and guitars, but I'd prefer they did it on their own song. If I was going to do a Lennon cover for charity, I think I'd pick a different song.

Green Day singing Lennon.....

What does everyone think of the Green Day "Working Class Hero" cover? I'm not a big fan of their vocalist, and I'm not sure I get using Working Class Hero as a charity song, but it's not a bad performance, I don't think. I still much prefer Lennon's acoustic version.

What's wrong with John's mic level in that video? You can barely hear him....
