i think i remember sending it to ya a couple years ago for the current owner.

when it comes to "figured" wood (ie. birdseye, quilted) flat sawn is the way to go.
on the other hand i think any "plain" wood looks ten times better when quarter sawn.

first off, that bass is stunning. you do awesome work.

was the bass originally walnut?

Well, Alisha posted a thread about receiving the above guitar, and I was out with a bad flu (despite flu shot) for over 4 weeks...so things moved back a bit. I have four more jumbo acoustic bodies ready ...

that is actually a faker tail-piece that i cut the slot into and a genuine ric bridge. i couldn't bring myself to modify the original tail-piece.

Zack, is that a V63/C64 bridge on there? Or did you cut that tooth yourself?

Nice-looking 4000, especially with the longer 'guard (which they should ...

just wanted to share the new pickguard i made for my '74. all it needs now is a foam mute and some cleaning and its ready to rock.
