After tinkering around for a little while, it is a tone monster again...The group I hang out with is into Fenders, Les Pauls, etc, and last night at rehearsal I played the 1997 for the songs needing 6 string accompanyment, and my 360/12v64 for the songs needing 12 string accompanyment. Tone Heaven ...

Thanks Bob! Actually, that's what I did. This instrument has been in my family since it was new-I inherited it. It started a bad incurable case of G.A.S. No truss rod adjustment was necessary-nut looks great (using the same string gauge) just haven't gotten the tone I am looking for yet.....

Set up '64 RM 1997

I haven't played this in a while and want to set it up with new strings and check the string height and pick up height against original specs. Please advise of where I can find this info. Thanks!

My fav's (always subject to change) are:

Till There Was You
Yes It Is
Rain
Dear Prudence
While My Guitar Gently Weeps

I think it's quite amazing that this group's body of work is ever evolving. It seems like when one song loses it's luster and you think you may have had enough of it for ...

Mike:That chord progression is Bm to B7 to A. The film actually shows that progression in the performance of that song. I would like to know the augmented chord he uses after "A" at "Love you all the time and never leave you".

I just had work done on my 360/12v64 by Mark Arnquist. For a good price, he replaced the 6 string bridge w/a 12 string bridge (after doing some very nice detail work on the 12 string bridge), unwound my "bright" toasters to vintage specs (and sured up the assemblies inside the pickups as well), cut ...

Thanks for the reply Gary. The guitar I am looking at is the double cutaway model. The tuners have been replaced, but other than that it is stock. There is minimal binding deterioration and the finish is in good shape too. From what I can gather, it sounds as though the Nashville is a tad smaller in ...

Gretsch Nashville vs. Country Gentleman

Hi-I know that this is a little off-topic, but I would like to hear some comments, flames or raves about comparing a Gretsch Nashville to a Gretsch Country Gentleman. I have an opportunity to pick up a Nashville, but I'm apprehensive, because I really want a Country Gentleman but can't afford the ...

Tracy-I put in some RCA 6l6gc and that warmed up the amp considerably-One other question. It has an annoying crackle that comes into play after it has warmed up for quite some time. Any ideas? It happens on any guitar I plug into it, and it seems to happen when I strum-I know that has to be a ...

Anthony-It can be done, but may not be cost effective. Take your pick guard and down to your local metal fab shop. Request that they make an exact replica of the pickguard, and have it prepped to be chromed. Then take it to your local chrome shop and have it chromed. Instant chrome pickguard! If I ...

Is this amp similiar to the Vox ac30 in that it is a self biasing amp, or is that something that needs to be done when changing the tubes? If it does need to be biased, what are the setting, or where can they be found? Thanks!***Mark

I live in Sparks, Nevada. The trannys that Plexipalace put in this amp were much bigger physically than the stock ones. They had the amp for awhile due to no one having any wiring diagrams for it. Victor told me he even talked to John Hall at that time to request a wiring diagram for info, but was ...
