Straplocks

Howdy. I just got my new 660/12 (pics soon!). I have dunlop straplocks on all my electrics and was wondering what mod is necessary to but them on the 660. Or is it easier to go with shaller straplocks?

Thanks.

660/12 strings

What kind of strings do you all like?
Where do you buy them?
How often do you change them? (I know this varies by individual)
Thanks.

I'm curious, is the 2003 shade of turquoise the only rick turquoise color? I saw a reference to a vintage turquoise once. Is this the same color? The vintage vibe is what drew me to it.

660/12 Turquoise - took the plunge

Hey folks. After waiting 15 months for a BBR 660/12, I took a detour and bought a 2003 turquoise one instead. The TUR was the color that got me into the hunt for a 660/12 at the start. (Dig the gold against the green) I liked the BBR but have never seen the finish in person like most of you all. I ...

660/12 BBR Blueburst

Is anyone else out there waiting for one? Mine was ordered April '05 and I'm dying to get it. How long is the typical wait for a "color of the year" Ric?

Thanks for all the feedback folks. You've already got me considering pickguard swaps on an instrument I won't be getting for 4 - 6 mos. from the sound of it. I'll be sure to post pics of my 660/12 BBR whenever I get it. It will be my first Rick and I'm now seeing how much anticipation and rarity add ...

Mark - Thanks for the info. I'm new the world of Rick. Now that I understand that the "color of the year" term is a little loose, I'll have to ratchet back my anticipation a notch. Cheers!

Blueburst 660/12 sightings

I was wondering if anyone has seen any BBR 660/12's. I've got one on order and dying to get it. Has anyone seen any in person?

I'm not yet a Ric owner (stil waiting for my 660/12) but wanted to suggest you check out G&L guitars. G&L was Leo Fender's last company. The guitars are made at the original Fender factory with much hands-on attention. Beatiful wood, finish, and craftsmanship. I have a G&L ASAT Classic semi-hollow ...

I had a hard time deciding between blue burst and fireglo. But decided to go for a different color palette from my other guitars to go with the different sound palette. I can't wait to post pictures, many months from now. You avid Ric addicts will have me buying another one before my 660/12 get here ...

Thanks for the welcomes. I'll be playing my 660/12 through a Crate vintage club 30, 30W class A, 12" speaker and a Roland Chorus 77. I've also got a transparent orange G&L semi-hollow ASAT tele (my first "baby"), an Ephiphone jazz box, an old Elekta 335, a Blade Strat, a Tacoma flattop, a G&L 5 ...

Took the 660/12 plunge!

Howdy folks. I'm new to the forum and have been enjoying the talk and pictures. I just got on a wait list for a 660/12 blue burst. Now I have to sit tight for 6 months. I'm a big Beatles fan and started my Ric desires for a 360/12. Then after looking around really dug the look of the 660 and all the ...
