Re: Lets see your 660's or 620's

For me, the 660 is unrivalled, in terms of looks and playability (but I do have a few other models as well!).

Currently have the following 660s in my collection:

660-MB, 660/12-MB, 660-AFG, 660-JG, 660-75AE, 660/12TP-FG, 660/12TP-JG

When I get time, I will sort out some photos to post.

Looking ...

Spot on Bill - I often contact e-bayers who will not sell outside of the US - it is mostly because they have a big enough market at home and can't be bothered with the hassle of shipping overseas (1 extra piece of paper !)

However, I have bought 20+ guitars from the US (I also collect vintage ...

I am afraid that Rosetti are useless. They are the distributors for Ric in the UK (ie don;t sell directly), but they deal with many other brands and really don't do Rickenbacker's business prospects any good in the UK - slow to respond to e-mails (if ever at all)and have no idea if you ask a ...

Tom Petty Build Dates

I have a couple of 660/12 TP's in FG and JG. One has a build date of July 1991 (an early limited edition number out of the 1,000 run) and the other has a build date of January 1996 (with a late limited edition number) . Both have the original signed certificates. I though that the run was finished ...

Quote: I'm stoked to be getting mine, as well. I hope to play the living hell out of 'er.

Please listen to Scott and trash all the other 75E's, then I will have the only ones left ;-)

RRP appears to be around £1,700 (about $3,150 at today's rate) - give or take a bit, for the different models. There may be some small discounts available (eg if you take all 4 like I did), but they don't really need to - with so few around.

Nah - its the 660 for me every time out of that bunch. Just scored a mint (truly - unplayed NOS, still with sticker on it) Tom Petty this afternoon, to join my Jetgo and Montezuma Brown 660/6's - still looking out for that 660/12 MB though.

Now if there had been a 381 in the lineup, that would ...

And if you think that you are "paying up" in the US - you should see how much we are having to pay over here for them !!!

Me too - managed to get one of all 4 models in the UK from one dealer. Looks like there is an advantage to being this side of the water for once !!

Add me to the list - just confirmed that I have one of all 4 models reserved. By the way, if you are in the UK, don't get confused by Rosetti saying that they are all taken - they are just the distributors - a few of the larger Ric dealers still have some available.
