Re: Bangles - "Sweetheart of the Sun"

They've no need of autotune. I found that out tonight. Just saw them at the Fillmore in SF. They are well rehearsed and sound *really* good. They can all sing.
The vibe was great and the audience had great feedback for the band, who stayed energized all night. The vox were tight like the recordings ...

Re: Are there -bound- 350's apart from the SH?

Okay, that's good to know. Thanks folks!
I threw that figure out there because I was able to pick up a blackbound, white 1993 4003 bass for about that price, and was thinking that a matching (reversed) JG 350 with a smart white binding would be neat.

Are there -bound- 350's apart from the SH?

Hello,
while i pine for the 350SH (i saw the one over on PotR for $six large!), i also just plain love the 350 shape.
unfortunately for me, I am also in love with the look of the body binding (the top binding, at least).
were there 350's made with binding that are available for less-than-astonishing ...

It's so easy

I'm still a bass noob, but this white 1993 4001... I got some GHS Brite Flats for it a year ago. "Things happened", and I didn't play with it for a long time until tonight. Tuned it up and plugged it direct into an Art Prochannel with a *touch* of compression. That went into a simple mixer with a ...

Here's an acquaintance of mine recorded a track using six different basses (overdubbed). None of them were Ricks, but I have to give the man props for pointing me towards the place where I found my white '93 4003, and for being a skilled player, and for just jumping on an idea and having fun with it ...

But Brian, I had that sale earmarked for a 12-string!

Chris and Jeff: cheers! Mine is a 1993. I have heard that they made another white in 1999, but i've no confirmation. Does RIC cycle color-of-the-year colors in and out depending on the year, or is it a gut feeling that makes the decision? I'm ...

well, all i can tell is that it does in fact say "It's A Hamilton" on the front plate (including quotation marks!?). Good eye!

Say, it has a few spots of rust, and the feet are missing off of the front two legs, but I'm willing to let it go for $2.89 plus $1499.95 shipping, if you're interested ...

huh! no clue. I can check when i get home, but I always thought of it as "that cheap, collapsible one". I think I got it in the 70's or 80's though. it's pretty flimsy.

Oh yeah, i also made decent use of the A-->B loop function to practice a section over and over. A good feature that I wish was a bit easier to use.
