Re: Maple/Black 4001-3s?

I believe 4001 Mapleglow = White guard originally. I do think it's a great color combo and just as good with white binding and chrome. How bout doing what I did-go get a white guard/binding Mapleglow and add the black guard. Looks even better facing the wrong way

Re: Rickenbacker upright bass

Seems dad's attic also contained a nice old Gibson banjo-also on the bay. The ad say's its from the 50's but just from what little I know, the headstock reads "The Gibson", making it much older I think!

Re: What is this bass worth?

Now I know why John got my bass for $1000.00! It was the "period correct" TRC and pickguard that wasn't original.

Re: Everyone...I NEED SOME GUIDANCE....

Agreed-now I'm hoping that justice is in vogue. I suppose i'll keep sharing as the police investigate (if anyone is interested). I've been prepped by the police, at this point, for the possibility that the D.A will not be willing to prosecute anyone at the pawn shop or the person that broke in to my ...

Re: Everyone...I NEED SOME GUIDANCE....

FYI, the backwards case has always been a bit of an issue as it tilts badly when carried. Guess they didn't consider the backwards issue when the handle was mounted!

Re: This is a faker, I think?

I'm still learning too but the truss rod cover lettering looks "off". I'd post mine to compare but it's lefty. Back of headstock photo shows crooked mounting of tuners. White pickup selector knob? Neck pickup chrome bezel looks wrong-the bezel looks too wide along it's long dimension and the pickup ...
