I thought that holding the neck at the desired curve before tightening the nuts was only required for old models…
Am I wrong, or this technique always stands today ?

I really think that the iconic model is the 360V64.
I had the chance to have one, a nice 1995 360/6 V64... until I sold it last year... (yes I know, that was silly...)

I'm sure Dane is very talented, but as you can see in the video, intonation on the mastery is near perfect. I would argue how necessary "perfect" intonation actaully is, the mastery is past the point of any audiable difference.

I agree, this piece is a part of my guitar that I don't want to remove, as the saddle are not so good looking...
