Re: George and his Gretsches

I can't answer your questions, but I wanted to add that back in 1991 I was very lucky to have an opportunity to trade a Peavey Telecaster to a young fella for a 1963 Country Gentleman. I called Duke Kramer and he told me it was from summer/late summer 1963. The only non-original part on it was the ...

Re: Any Beatles Collectors out there?

I will if I can get a hold of the guy I sold it to. But if you have the book about the Casbah Club, the part of the ceiling I had is the silver stars with the black background.

I did have a piece of the famous Casbah Club's ceiling that was painted by John and some famous others.

New Byrds Book

Just got this a couple weeks ago and I can't put it down:

So You Want To Be A Rock 'N' Roll Star-The Byrds Day-By-Day 1965-1973 by Christopher Hjort
ISBN 978-1-906002-15-2

Nice-sized softcover book with lots of day to day info and many photos I hadn't seen before. A "gotta have" for Byrds fans.

Re: 1964 - The Tribute

I've seen them 5 times in various places around Ohio, but the most memorable location was in Liverpool, Enland in the late 1990's. And at an appearance in Celina, Ohio, I was very honored to be allowed backstage at the intermission where Mark Benson very kindly used, almost his entire break, to give ...

Re: Phantom Teardrop XII - dig it!

Yes, fine guitars. I've got a white Phantom teardrop solid-body 12-string that I run through a compressor and a VOX AC30H2. As fine a sound as any of the Ricks I've owned.

Re: VOX AC-30...which is the better to get?

Jake, don't forget to turn down the neck pickup on your guitar. Then flip the pickup selector switch up and down during the feedback using only the bridge pickup.

Re: VOX AC-30...which is the better to get?

Doggone you, Jake! It's all your fault! You got me looking at the VOX AC30H2 amps. I sold my beautiful tweed Fender '57 Twin amp and ordered one of these. I got a cream-colored combo from Gary at North Coast Music. Same price at any other place, but here's why I ordered from Gary. Free shipping ...

Re: 12-hole trapeze ?

I had seen George Harrison's first 12 string, strung with the ball ends on the top and bottom of the trapeze. I tried it and it works just fine.

Re: Mcguinn in Ohio concert

I'd seen him 3 times earlier on, so I'm not terribly disappointed. The best was in 1991, when the Headlights toured with him.

Mcguinn in Ohio concert

Anyone in Ohio wanting to go see Roger McGuinn? He is doing a show at a small venue at the Fur Peace Ranch(owned by former Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jorma Kaukonen)at the end of March. I've got a ticket but can't go. If interested, email me for details.
