Re: 65 300 series on CL in my area

Did not check when I posted but it's in the registry as a 330...like I said I know little of RIC guitars. Just thought if someone wanted a close up inspection, they could give me a list and I could check it out for them.

Re: New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

 Mines all new though! I like the action low enough where I can crank the volume on the amp, still attack light to medium for that "thumpity thump thump" sound. Then dig in a little with the treble p'up a bit higher for a bit of "clankity clank clank". The last mode is to play aggressively with ...

Re: New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

Thanks again everyone. I am love'n this bass! The album art was the work of my wife. Some of her favs and some of mine. Both walls are covered and don't worry, the vinyl was carefully packed away! They are stuck on the wall with command adhesive strips so we can remove them w/out damage if we ever ...

Re: New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

HA! Did the same thing and let my wife pick the color. FG was the winner and it's now sitting right here next to me. I think I would have gone with a MG but the FG is superb! Hey, at least there will be no complaints from the peanut gallery for a while! :D

I anticipate the "gallery' at my house ...

Re: New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

For me 1/8" relief is huge. I think if you keep working with the rods you can do much better. I like to be able to see a tiny bit of light between the bottom of the E string and 7th fret. Like the thickness of a sheet of paper. Congratulations on your new art piece.

Thanks again for the warm ...

Re: New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

I still had some relief, maybe around 1/8 an inch at about the 5th and 7th fret area.

The straighter the better works well with the neck-through design. How are you measuring your relief? The recommended way is the fret at the first and last, then see what the gap is from 7~9. The string is now ...

New 4003 Fireglo owner here!

Hi all.

I am new to the forums and new to Rickenbacker ownership. Took delivery of my 4003 Fireglo in October 2011 so it's not exactly "brand new" anymore. It was built the first week of March 2011. Absolutely beautiful in so many ways. I am very impressed with the sound, finish and workmanship. A ...
