How is their stance hurting them in more ways than it is helping them?
Rick have their own quality issues and haven't succeeded anyway in preventing the manufacture of close copies; they were there from Kay in the 70's & they're there now. So all their bombastics would be put to better use by ...

Still with the empty flag-waving then? If all companies had done that we'd all be stuck with Mercedez-Benz 3 wheeled 4HP automobiles. My bass isn ...

Re: New RIC bass copy
Is there anyone here SERIOUSLY suggesting that to satisfy my curiosity that how I imagine a bass appears in my minds eye is how it would look & sound in real life, that I should blow £1200+ on a real Rick to adapt, just to keep you guys & Rick happy?

Re: New RIC bass copy
another post that underlines the need for a sticky explaining why RIC's intellectual property is THEIRS and why it is necessary for them to enforce their ownership

"the first Rockinbetters were Chinese hence the intial lower prices, not that they're Korean they're better made so the price is up"
- what a crock - they got ...

It's a Seymour Duncan replacement pickup for a Gibson Firebird guitar, so it's not for a bass at all though since it doesn't have individual poles then it doesn't matter what you put it on. I read recently that in his original Rick basses Lemmy of Motorhead always used to replace the neck pup with ...

When my SG bass was being built by John Birch I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him many times of course. At the time (1999-2000) he was an old man of 79 years.
I can assure you that he was no rip-off merchant, he was very much a tech-head. Totally in love with the guitar as an instrument to ...
