yep ... the new buyer seems disenchanted with his new toy ... I am thinking ... gee I only have two 2000 basses ... gee maybe I need another ...

Yes, that is same bass. It sold for over $800 so I am no longer the high water mark on 2030's. :-)

they are different ... they are good but most prefer the 4000 series ... I like them because they make good 5 string basses ... they are heavier than a 4000 bass ... they have bolt on necks ... the pickups and electronics are voiced differently ...

Will you like it? it depends ... they are more suited to punk, and or heavier music ...

The 2030 that you have Ted has hot humbuckers ... the one on ebay probably has single coils ... that will give it a sound closer to the 4003 bass ... it won't be quite as think and hot as the 90's models ...
