A John Blunt solo record- looking forward to that- I hope it will be possible to get hold on. But I still haven't seen any comments on Spencer James's second CD- Love Remains (I think it's called). It is described as a collection of 11(?) new "country songs/tunes". Someone out there must have bought it/listened to it? "Country songs" doesn't blend with his "synth-guitar" reputation.
What kind of instruments are on it? I'm just curious to know what kind of music this is.

Searchers amongst my teenage favourite music. Still fond of them, but earnestly a little puzzled they are considered THIS big! But I'm very excited about this forum, and will love to read it regularly, and also contribute!

Unlike Tides Of Time, Love Remains comprises covers of other people's songs. If anything its slightly better than TOT in my view.
Among the songs covered are Runaway, the Del Shannon song which The Searchers perform live, and the recent big hit from Aerosmith which I thought was a brave decision although the song title escapes me.
Spencer has a small section of The Searchers web site to himself and you can get details of both CDs and order them on line by credit card. Address is

I notice Gary eludes to Aerosmith and confirms the point, I recently made to Spencer, people will think of the Aerosmith version, song is I Don't Want To Miss A Thing and was the big song in the movie Armageddon, Steve Tyler(Lead Singer) with Aerosmith is the father of Liv Tyler who was the female lead in the film.
That aside Spencer's version is actually based on the Original version of the song by Mark Chestnutt.
I agree with Gary I prefer it to TOT and SJ does songs by Hal Ketchum, Colin Raye, Steve Warriner, Leanne Rimes, George Ducas, Ricochett toname just some (All successful New Country Acts)
What a mind of useless information I am, my wife tells me.
