Listen to Daytripper (specifcally the middle solo bit with the ah's and guitar riffs) I hear someone using a volume pedal on single notes....anyone else?

Ahhhh.....THE song that really got me wanting to play bass......I still get goosebumps when I hear it come on the radio , the way it begins with the guitar, bass and drums layered .....what an OUTSTANDING song!!!

I still remember the first time I heard it. Great F# bass line the second time he plays it. Very hard song to sing and play bass with for me and I've only sung the high harmony parts.

I think its just a volume control on a guitar.
I thought I would have problems singing and playing it too but it was unfounded.

I do sing the lead (Paul part) and it's just a matter of doing it for several years on the gig to be comfortable. If I don't call it for a while, it can be a challenge all over again.
Rick bass fanatic. I own and play several professionally. I have a passion for the S models.
