White logo and pickguard to trade for black ones

Post by thinneckrick »

are there any fellow rick lovers who might have a black logo and pickguard to trade for a white logo and guard ? I have an 88 4003 that is dark blue with black binding and all black hardware . But unfortunently the person i got it from decided that the white logo and guard looked better on this particular bass ? Anyway , They are original rick parts and are in clean condition . Thanks all

I think Kenny's email is [email protected]

He's reads this board quite regularly so maybe he's reading.

I could be wrong on this, but I thought I'd heard that now if you want to do the nameplate exchange deal with Rick, you can't send them a plate of one color to get a different color.JH, can you clarify this for the guys?

This keeps coming up. I would like to exchange a couple of white for gold & some clarification of what we can & cannot exchange would be very helpful. Can we swap for different colours....can we swap standard for vintage?

I have just emailed Ric, so I'll let you know the info when I get it....
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

I traded a painted, raised-letter TRC for a gold vintage one a couple years ago.

I have exchanged two raised letter TRCs, one white, one black, for vintage white TRCs.

Also where can i get a correct black pickguard?

Don Adamek makes excellent black pickguards. He has the correct material.
