Auction

Post by brian »

I haven't heard of the group mentioned in the auction, but they do seem to have a web site.
It will be interesting to see the pictures of the guitar.

It would be an amazing guitar IF Roger McGuinn had ever played for the Yardbirds. Makes you wonder

Misinformation AND a $5K opener.

Stan, you misread the auction text:
... this one in particular made for Roger McQuinn of the Yard Birds ...

Roger McQuinn ¹ Roger McGuinn

Yard Birds ¹ Yardbirds

Sort of like "325 played by John Lenin of the Beedles" ... Image

I was too amazed at the misrepresentation to notice the seller didn't spell McGuinn right..or the Yardbirds...Maybe he was talkin' about two different groups, the Yard and Birds.

From the description and the year of the serial number it sounds like it may be a 370/RM

Well, if it is, the serial # given in the description, NS-A29950, isn't anywhere to be found in RIC's serial number decoder.

I don;t what the NS stood for but A29950 is Jan. or '89. Probably a FG McGuinn.

Surely Number Serial? Makes about as much sense as the rest of it?

It's a Rick McQuinn model, with the ESL option!
