This is buirgundy?

The seller has told me that the serial number of his bass is MD1187. My bass is MD158X. That's four hundred units apart or about a weeks worth of production.
My bass has the vintage features on it including full width MOP markers as does the MD1187 bass. I think the seller is not aware of the differences between crushed sparkle and mother of pearl inlays.
We all know that Burgundyglo used through the late 60's and early 70's was more of the Eggplant Burgundy as we've all seen. I have a difficult time getting the Burgundy to clearly show up in photos of my bass whenever I take a photo of it, as you can see below.

I have an 81 Burgandy 4003 and it is just a little bit lighter, in fact it is very similar.

Here's a 2002 BG. It shows up a little better, but not much.

Mine is much darker than that one, in fact I didn't even realize that it was a translucent color until it was pointed out to me here.

I was just about to say where's the 21 fret example of Grant's and there it is...
Apart from JW's old 4005 my favourite example of a B/G bass. That old school eggplant kicks every other version of B/G in the a** ...imo...

Burgundy Glo is Be-u-tiful but Grant I'm not sure the orange case interior background does anything for it in that picture!
